NASCAR Sprint Cup season begins with the Budweiser Shootout

The first race of the year begins Feb 6, one day ahead of the Super Bowl XLIV, with the Budweiser Shootout at Daytona International Speedway, Florida. The Budweiser Shootout is a no-holds barred All-Star race with the top NASCAR Sprint Cup Series stars.

The Budweiser Shootout is more star-studded field now as NASCAR and Daytona International Speedway have tweaked the rules.This year it features the 12 Chase drivers from last season plus past champions and past winners of the Daytona 500 and the 400-mile race at Daytona in July.

The Budweiser Shootout is a 75 lap shootout with no points on the line. This non-points race generates a lot of excitement as this is the first chance for the drivers to climb into their cars for competition.

There are a lot of attractions during the Budweiser Shootout inside the feild and outside. The Grammy award winning country music group Zac Brown Band will perform the National Anthem: and many other enjoyments with this.
